ComputeCosts.nl is an observational platform focused on calculating the real cost of cloud-based computing services for clearly defined technical workloads. The goal is to enable a factual comparison between cloud execution and local compute infrastructure, based on explicit assumptions and reproducible calculations. All calculations are based on documented assumptions regarding workload behaviour, resource usage and pricing parameters. Assumptions are stated explicitly and can be reviewed or challenged. Results are descriptive only. ComputeCosts does not provide recommendations, rankings or purchasing advice. Where relevant, calculated results are timestamped and anchored on the Algorand blockchain to allow immutable and independent verification that a specific cost estimate existed at a given point in time. This anchoring serves as a public record, not as a financial instrument.
